Microphone Pin Awards
These are lapel pins worn recognizing levels of achievement in the speaking business and are the chapter's highest awards. There are three pin awards: Bronze, Silver and Gold, and at each level the requirements are more demanding. Each pin award has its own requirements, which increase in difficulty at each level. To see the specific requirements for each level: Bronze, Silver and Gold pins.
The Bronze and Silver award pins may be awarded at any time the member fulfills the requirements, generally at the next chapter meeting following completion. However, the Gold Pin Award is awarded annually at the June meeting and must be approved by the NSA/GLAC Board of Directors.

How to Join the Greater Los Angeles Chapter
Membership in the Greater Los Angeles Chapter is open to anyone who is a member of the National Speakers Association. The GLAC membership year runs from September 1 through August 31. The annual membership investment is $150. For those joining at other times of the year, a pro rata adjustment will be made to the second-year membership fee based on the calendar quarter that you joined. There is also a $30 initiation fee the first year in addition to the $150 membership fee.

Apprentice
The chapter also has available a special category known as Apprentice. This category is open to individuals who do not qualify for membership at the national level but who are seriously interested in learning more about this association and the profession of speaking. This category is available for one year and may be renewed for a second year. Apprentices are entitled to attend GLAC functions at member rates, and may participate in many of the other chapter activities. It is expected that Apprentices will convert to regular membership by the end of the 2nd year of Apprentice status. Apprentice status costs $195, which can be prorated upon conversion to regular membership prior to a full year of Apprentice status.

Vendor Affiliate Program
We're pleased to invite you to participate as an Affiliate member of the National Speakers Association, Greater Los Angeles Chapter.
This category of membership for GLAC is like the similar category at the national level. Affiliate membership is for those who have products or services to offer the professional speakers, trainers, and consultants in our membership.
Benefits include:

- Free personal/company web page on our web site
- Tabletop display at one meeting*
- Flyer mailed to our mailing list (You provide 600 flyers and we mail it out to our mailing list.)
- Attend all regular meetings at member rate

* We will provide you with a table outside the meeting room near the registration table, approximately 2-3 minutes on our agenda, as well as lunch for one representative at a designated meeting date of your choice.
